What a nightmare.  In the latest turn of events circling Oscar-winning actress’ Jennifer Hudson‘s family, the singer/actress is now offering a personal reward of $100,000 to anyone who gives information regarding the wear-abouts of her nephew, Julian King.

The Associated Press reports:

In a statement Sunday evening from publicist Lisa Kasteler, Jennifer Hudson appealed to the public for its help, offering the reward and asking that any information be given to Chicago police.
“Jennifer and her family appreciate the enormous amount of love, support and prayers they have received while she and her family try to cope with this tragedy and continue the search for Julian,” the statement said.
Chicago police ramped up search efforts for Julian around the Englewood neighborhood, where Hudson grew up, and transferred custody of a “person of interest” in the killings to state authorities.
“Detectives are working 24 hours on this case,” said Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond. “There’s a lot of forensic evidence. We have to work the evidence and try and solve this case. Most importantly, we want to find the child.”

I spoke with my friend in London a couple of days ago, and turns out, this story is as big of a deal overseas as it is here.  Which makes perfect sense to me!  If this can happen to Ms. Hudson, it can happen to anyone.

Scary thought, right?

Jennifer Hudson’s debut album has been creating quite a buzz since her career defining performance in Dreamgirls.  With her release date drawing nearer (September 20th), her album cover artwork has been released. 

Okay, let’s just start with stating the obvious.  Jennifer, darling, you are not that small.  Not saying you have to be, but let’s be really serious.  Unless homegirl has been feasting on purified water and oats since the Sex & The City premiere, I don’t see that image has being portrayed accurately.

Her new single, Spotlight, is already doing quite well without the release of this image, so why (?) did she feel the need to photoshop 80+ pounds off her body?  I have met Jennifer in person and let me tell you, she’s a big girl.  Not fat.  No unnecessary weight.  Just a big girl.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with that…so, EMBRACE it girl!

Ps. can’t wait for the album to drop!
